PROJECTS 22 23 ostiliomobili Magazine - Edition 1 Grit and personality We’re in the Lake Iseo area, in the heart of Franciacorta. A home that takes your breath away and makes your heart race at first glance. A project with contemporary, tactile appeal that reflects the energy and boldness of the owner, a former motorcycle racer. How would you describe your collaboration with ostiliomobili? Which aspects impressed you the most? A new building in the heart of Franciacorta with four apartments, and this is the home chosen by the owner, a former professional racer. The world of racing had to come through powerfully in the spirit of this home, because it was – and still is – the heartbeat of its owner. Grit and strong personality had to shine through every detail: the extensive selection of furnishings offered by ostiliomobili made it possible to have everything needed to create such a special setting, including the perfect stage for the quad bike that starred in memorable races and for the owner’s trophies. A true competition tackled like a winning team. How do you think the synergy between the architect and the furniture supplier can positively influence a project’s final outcome? Projects like this have to meet the expectations and needs of a particularly demanding clientele. The owner’s racing background meant the client pursued perfection down to the smallest detail, with a need for premium, high-performance materials with a strong visual impact. Only close collaboration between the designer and the supplier makes it possible to hit such ambitious targets. What do you think of the furniture supply service offered by ostiliomobili? How did it support your creative and operational process? This is a home rich in elements with real character: together with ostiliomobili we found every piece needed to hit the brief and integrated them into the spaces flawlessly. A team that worked with meticulous, truly “competition-level” care from the first stages through delivery and installation, even on elements requiring special workmanship, such as the panelling. The installation of the client’s chosen appliances – particularly high-tech – was also handled with great care and specialised skills. Can you tell us a particular detail about the project you created with ostiliomobili? What was the challenge or unique detail of this project? What was the challenge or unique detail of this project? This is a total open space. The double-sided fireplace and the bronze Stopsol sliding glass panels only idealise the separation between the night and day areas. The furnishings themselves organise the spaces, with tactile finishes and colour tones that have to harmonise across every room. We worked to create this balanced harmony together with ostiliomobili. How do you think furniture choices can add value to an architectural project? Were there elements that made the difference for you and your clients? Choosing the right piece can make the difference, amplifying the mood of a space. Having access to the wide range of brands that ostiliomobili offers is already a big plus. And thanks to long-standing collaborations with acclaimed artists, we can bring in alluring objects – artworks and sculptures for an extra touch of class – along with textiles, rugs and accessories.
