PROJECTS 32 33 ostiliomobili Magazine - Edition 1 Oak panelling custom-made by ostiliomobili’s carpentry Once again, the lake becomes the silent protagonist of everyday life. Its shifting hues frame the windows of this penthouse overlooking the waters of Lake Iseo, adding allure and depth to interiors where modernity, elegance and comfort blend in perfect harmony. This recent renovation by Archiabita studio in collaboration with ostiliomobili breathes new life into the spaces, instilling character and personality in every room. The penthouse originally resulted from merging two apartments that had become outdated and unsuited to contemporary living. The project completely redefined the layout, transforming two obsolete residences into a single refined space where warmth is combined with technology and a carefully curated palette of materials. The heart of the penthouse is the large open-plan living area, embraced by a sloping timber roof that wraps the space in an intimate, bright atmosphere. White, almost velvety beams converse with natural stone cladding on some of the walls, giving the room a strong earthy identity. The living room is anchored by a fabric corner sofa with soft, generous lines, facing the TV area. A boldly coloured armchair with matching ottoman adds a striking visual accent and invites you to relax. Behind the sofa, on a raised platform, the kitchen takes shape with a central island. Here a linear table-style counter is perfect for breakfasts and quick lunches. This play on levels adds dynamism and visually sets the kitchen apart while maintaining a sense of continuity. A distinctive feature is the owner’s glass-fronted wine cellar, an expression of his passion for wine. Framed by dramatic full-height glazing, it becomes a true furnishing feature, simultaneously elegant and functional. PHOTO Eros Mauroner
